The SD-3700 is one of the most efficient ways to join two antennas.  Most antenna combiners are 75 Ohm, where you have 300-75 Ohm transormers between the antenna and combiner.  The SD-3700 eliminates the insertion loss of the transformers and results in a much cleaner signal.  Joining two antennas can be a great alternative to a rotator.  It is recommended that you run equal lengths of 300 Ohm cable from each antenna to the SD-3700 to eliminate multipath.
